Columbia University President Boud with ‘Free Mahmoud’ Channels

Claire Shipman from Columbia University was booed on Tuesday during a diploma ceremony, with hymns of “Free Mahmoud” she heard her drown.

Mahmoud Khalil, graduated from Columbia University, was held in March by American immigration officials about his role in pro-Palestinian protests on campus. He is a permanent legal American resident and is not charged with a crime.

Mr. Khalil remains in detention in the US while the official tries to deport him.

President Donald Trump has previously called anti-Semitic protests, but student activists deny this.
