The cryptocurrency investor who reportedly tortured a man for two weeks in an apartment in New York City was arrested in just a bathrobe … and TMZ has obtained video from the very shocking scene.
John Woeltz -A 37-year-old from Kentucky-Werd arrested in New York City on Friday after the police said a man told that a police officer Woeltz had held him in an apartment in Soho for weeks.
Officers responded to the house … and Woeltz did nothing but a bathrobe – without even on shoes.
Although a part of the arrest video has already made the rounds, we have obtained the clip in its entirety … caught officers who march him down and knock his robe on the street.
Officers check his legs, buttocks and even in his robes … looking for weapons or other smuggling where to his person. They don’t seem to find anything.
John is then taken away … and, as we told you, he later came from New York City district in handcuffs.
Prosecutors claim that Woeltz and a still inconvenient suspect tortured a man who tortured from 6 May … claiming that they jerked him with threads, hit him several times with a gun and bun him over a ledge while threatening his life.
Woeltz is accused of first degree kidnapping, first degree unlawful prison, second -degree attack and criminal possession of a weapon.
He appeared on Saturday in the court where a judge ordered that he would be held without a bail and his passport was seized.
