Iran and Great -Britain are evoking envoys about alleged espionage in the UK

Great -Britain and Iran called each other’s envoy after three Iranians were accused of espionage in the UK.

Three Iranian men were arrested on 3 May and appeared on Saturday in the court in London accused of espionage for the Islamic Republic.

The IRNA press agency said that the British indictment of the Affaire was asked on Sunday to give an explanation for what was “unjustified” and “politically motivated” arrests was.

The alleged espionage took place from August 2024 to February 2025, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The police identified them as Mostafa Sepahvand, 39, Farhad Javadi Manesh, 44, and Shapoor Qalehali Khani Noori, 55, all who lived in London.

A fourth man was arrested on May 9 as part of the investigation, but was released without an indictment, said with.

The three men, who arrived in the UK between 2016 and 2022, were temporarily left leave after claiming asylum.

It is claimed that they have carried out surveillance with a view to finding journalists associated with Iran International.

“Iran must be called to account for his actions,” said the Interior Minister Yvette Cooper in a statement after Saturday’s charges.

It is because five other Iranian men were arrested on the same day in London, Swindon, Stockport, Rochdale and Manchester as part of a separate study of terrorism.

Four of the men – who had been detained on suspicion of the preparation of a terrorist law – were released for detention, although the investigation “remains active and is going on,” said the police.

The fifth man was brought to a non -specific date earlier in May.
