Kermit de Kikker gives a speech at the University of Maryland

Students from the University of Maryland received encouraging words during their diploma -ceremony from Kermit The Frog, who was this year’s starting speaker. The last time Kermit de Kikker delivered a starting address was in 1996 in the graduation class of Southampton College of Long Island University. Jim Henson, the maker of the beloved Frog, graduated from the University of Maryland in 1960. Today he is commemorated next to Kermit in a bronze statue outside the student union of the university.
