Kevin Garnett And his girlfriend was involved in a heated argument at the end of last month and the police were called on the spot … but both parties now say that things never got out of hand.
Tell enforcement sources TMZ Sports … Garnett’s partner, Tear CandelierI called on April 27, 911 to report that they and Garnett had been involved in a domestic dispute in their hometown in Los Angeles.
We were told when officers arrived, Garnett had left … but they still took a report. They noted that Candelier refused medical help after they asked if she needed it.
Sources that are familiar with the situation tell us while Garnett tried to leave the house to spread the conflict, he moved candelier from a doorway … but outside that things never became physical.
Both parties stated on Sunday that they regretted that law enforcement had once become involved.
“We deeply regret that a personal disagreement escalated and incorrectly involved authorities was involved,” Garnett and Candelier wrote in a joint statement. “It was never our intention to involve others at a time that should have stayed private.”
“Like most couples,” they continued, “we are disagreements, but our dedication to each other remains strong and we continue with renewed respect, understanding and love.”
Garnett is of course one of the biggest basketball players who ever filled sneakers fulfilled 15 All-Star selections in his illustrious career, as well as four All-NBA first-team nods.
Upon retirement, he switched to a sporting lead – the most recently in the lead role in his podcast, “KG: Certified.”
