“Love Island” participant Cashel Barnett Sit behind bars in Utah … The reality star submitted to the police after a crime order was issued for his arrest, TMZ learned.
Authorities and a source close to the victim tell TMZ … Cashel was booked on Monday morning in the prison of Salt Lake City in Utah – a week after an order was issued.
Cashel was hit by a whole series of charges by the SLC District Attorney after reporting his ex-girlfriend for their 1-year-old daughter at the end of last month.
Cashel is accused of having beaten the victim before he had reported her in the air – through her neck – and strangled her with both hands until she almost fainted.
We also hear that there can be more charges, while the police are investigating another serious accusation of violence by the same victim.
Cashel is currently being held without bail … and there will be a detention hearing on Thursday to determine a possible bail amount.
Cashel appeared in 2019 on “Love Island” and on “The Challenge: USA” in 2022.
