Latonya Poiss -Best known as seen in the reality TV program “My 600-LB Life” -is died of natural causes in Louisiana, TMZ has learned.
Pottain died on Saturday evening in the Christ Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, LA, according to the office of the Parish Coroner Natchitoches. The coroner tells us that the preliminary autopsy has established that Pottain died of congestive heart failure … but the final autopsy report has yet to be completed.
The brother of Pottain also told TMZ … family members visited Latonya at her home on Saturday morning and they noticed that she had problems with breathing. Her brother said that Pottain told them that she was extremely uncomfortable. Moreover, she didn’t look good.
Her brother said that the family was later called from a nurse who told them that Latonya called an ambulance to take her to the hospital because she went into a cardiac arrest, which led to her death.
As you may know, Pottain appeared in season 11 of “My 600-LB Life” and the show followed her journey to lose weight.
At one point, Dr. Jongan NowzaradanAka Dr. Now, the sad news about Latonya broke that he could not do anything for her because she did not stay in her weight loss program.
Every time, every time Pottain Dr. Now met, she heard that she had arrived instead of throwing pounds. The only time she ever lost was when she was previously admitted to the hospital with heart problems.
Pottain died on Saturday at the age of 40.
