Woman kept mummified body in the house for months
… Dead Son weighed 600 pounds

A woman from New Orleans is examined after she reportedly lived with the mummified remains of her 600 pound son for months in a house that is now considered a health risk.
Barbara Haininsworth – reportedly described by the city of New Orleans as a “mentally disabled older woman”- was visited by enforcement researchers from municipal code after Buren had submitted several complaints about the condition of the house.
When police officers from New Orleans arrived at the house, they found hamster conditions – and the body of the man. When demanding the dead body, Local reports Say Hainsworth explained: “That is my son. He died about nine months ago.”
Hainworth would have told officers that her son suffered from several medical conditions. His name was not released.
The rest of the Hainsworth house was also a mess … reportedly “filled with waste, chickens, roosters, rats” when the body was discovered.
The code of enforcement department has condemned the house as a health risk … and a statement from the New Orleans Health Department says that the property will be planned – and a demolition danger will stand – or if they have to break down the house.
Hainworth is not accused of crimes … Although her mental health status was eventually evaluated by researchers.
