President Trump Know how to throw a curveball – and his newest that most people will not see coming because he intends to reopen the notorious Alcatraz prison.
In fact, the supreme commander says about Truth Social … he sets up the Federal Bureau of Prisons to reopen Alcatraz not only, but also to rebuild prison to “house the most ruthless and violent perpetrators of America” and “serves as a symbol of law, order and justice.”
In his truth Social Post Sunday evening, Trump says further: “We will no longer be hostage to criminals, criminals and judges who are afraid to do their work and allow us to remove criminals who came illegally in our country.”
Earlier on Sunday, Trump told Journalists in the White House that reopening the penitentiary “only an idea” was because “radical judges” wanted to give a decent trial to every illegal immigrant in the country, which would detect the legal system with “millions of processes”. Trump said that although Alcatraz is a ‘sad symbol’, it still represents law and order and has a good history.
That it does. Alcatraz is an island in the waters for San Francisco, California, and it was run by the Ministry of Justice as a federal prison from 1934 to 1963, when it closes. Some of the most notorious criminals in American history were locked up there, including To the Capone” Robert “The Birdman” Stroud And George “Machinegeweer” Kelly.
Alcatraz was closed after almost 30 years because according to the BOP it was too expensive to keep working with an estimated $ 3 million to $ 5 million needed for restoration and maintenance work to run the prison at that time.
Alcatraz has turned into a tourist destination that is checked by the National Park Service, with around 1.2 million visitors a year.
