A second power outage in two days hit its region the French Riviera region after a fire on a substation in Nice at night, the authorities said it was caused by an evil act.
At least 45,000 houses were hit after the fire broke out around 02:00 local time (01:00 BST) on Sunday, a day after the nearby Cannes suffered a huge blackout suffering that was blamed for suspected sabotage.

Estrosi said the authorities would strengthen the security network around Nice electrical locations. An investigation into “organized arson” is open.
Nice officer of Justice Damien Martinelli was quoted by the AFP press agency that said that investigations were underway, in particular “to clarify the damage and the way in which the law was committed”.
