Suspect in the murder of student of South Africa, killed in police -Shootout

A suspect wanted for the murder of a student of the South African University was killed in a shooting with the police.

The body of Olorato Mongale was found on Sunday in Lombardy, north of Johannesburg, about two hours after she was reported missing after having gone a date.

In the early hours of Friday morning, police officers found that the main suspect hid in a residential complex in the coastal town of Aanzimtoti, said police spokesperson Athlenda Mathhe.

The suspect, who was not mentioned by the police, shot the officers who fall back and killed him, brigadier Mathhe added.
