US President Donald Trump placed on Truth Social that he will nominate Waltz as “the next American ambassador of the United Nations”.
By continuing his position, Trump added that State Secretary Marco Rubio will also serve as a national security adviser in the meantime.
It comes hours after reports said that Waltz would resign from his role as a national security adviser.
