A masked gang tried to kidnap the daughter and the young grandson of a cryptocurrency chef in Paris, but after a violent struggle they drove away empty-handed.

The failed kidnapping bid was recorded on video by a spectator in the 11th district of Paris, in the east of the French capital.

Police sources said the woman was the daughter of a boss of Cryptocurrency company. She and her husband fought three attackers until passers -by hurried their help and the men fled into a van.
