The Little Mermaid star receives a restrictive order against ex DDG

Actress and singer Halle Bailey has received a street ban against rapper and YouTube star DDG, her former boyfriend and the father of their one-year-old son.

The Little Mermaid star claims that he was repeatedly violent with her and made her fear of herself and their child.

On Tuesday, a judge in Los Angeles DDG, whose full name Darryl Darlyne Granberry JR, ordered to stay away from Bailey and their son to a hearing on June 6.

Bailey, 25, claimed that since their split in October there had been “several acts of physical violence” by Granberry. BBC News has asked representatives for Granberry for comments.

In documents requesting the order, reported by the Associated Press, Bailey said: “During our relationship, Darryl is and remains physical, verbal, emotionally and financially offensive to me.

“I am looking for orders to protect myself and our son Halo against his continuous abuse.”

Bailey and Granberry, 27, had a relationship from 2022 to last year.

In the documents, the actress claims that “things have become physical between us” after Granberry had repeatedly insulted her when she held the baby in a chair in his car in January.

“We fought against each other, struggle and struggle,” she said. “At one point Darryl pulled my hair. He then hit my face on the wheel, so that my tooth was broken off. I stopped fighting back because I was in a lot of pain.”

Bailey recorded photos of her tooth and bruises on her arms in her archiving, which have since been published by some American media.

Two months after the alleged fight, Bailey claims that Granberry entered her house when she was not at home and her a picture of her bed text, along with a threatening message that suggested that she had sex with other men.

A few days later, she claimed, Granberry let her out when she did not want to send them unwell with him, and then hit the ring doorbell camera on her porch when he realized that it took up their confrontation.

She further claimed that when she called a family member for help, he took her phone and hit her on her while she held the baby. Bailey has submitted a police report on the incident.

As part of the limiting order, Granberry was also instructed not to have weapons. The judge can extend the order for up to five years during the hearing of 6 June.

Bailey also asked that Granberry was ordered to stop using his social media platforms to continue with “bad because of his various millions of fans”.

“He claims that I am in our son and that I am with other men. As a result, I receive threats and hatred on social media,” she said in the documents.

Bailey shot known as part of Chloe x Halle, a pop duo with her sister, and later released music as a solo artist. She has been nominated for five Grammy Awards.

As an actress she appeared in Sitcom Grown-like from 2018 to 2022. Her biggest role so far played the titular character in Disney’s 2023 Live-Action remake of the Little Mermaid.

DDG became known in the middle of the 2010 by placing videos on YouTube and signed a record deal in 2018. He released four studio albums.
