‘To Easy Lol’ – New Orleans Jail Break may have been to Job

CCTV shows prisoners who escape from New Orleans prison

Ten prisoners, several of those who are confronted with murder attacks, have escaped from a prison in New Orleans and possibly had help from the staff in the facility, the authorities say.

It is thought that the prisoners fled around midnight and were discovered during a workforce at 8:30 AM Local time (13:30 GMT) in the Orleans prison on Friday morning. One of 10 has been recaptured.

“There is no way for someone to get out of this facility without help,” said Susan Huston during a press conference.

The Sheriff office posted photos that showed how the prisoners escaped, including harassing reports that apparently have been left behind by the escapes. “Against LOL,” read one message.

One prisoner was arrested in the French quarter of New Orleans, the police said. The other nine are considered “armed and dangerous,” said the Sheriff of Orleans, and added that a manhunt continued.

Louisiana State Police identified a escaped as Kendall Myles in Central New Orleans through face recognition technology after being filmed on a surveillance camera.

He tried to flee on foot before he was arrested hidden under a car in a parking garage, the police said.

He was brought back to the prison of Orleans Parish and “is being converted into the facility for a new indictment for simple escape,” said it in a statement.

The New Orleans police have released the names and photos of the other escapes In a message on x.

The Sheriff office of Orleans initially said that 11 prisoners had escaped from the facility, but the number was revised to 10 later on Friday.

Sheriff Hutson said that the prisoners threw the sliding door out of their traces of his spurs at 00:23 in the early hours of Friday morning (05:23 GMT) from his tracks.

They left the prison about half an hour later after tearing a toilet off the wall and breaking metal bars around a hole in the wall that was used for pipes.

They then climbed over a wall and ran over a highway, De Seriff said.

The Sheriff office has released images of the hole in the wall, which shows what the Piping armor looked before the toilet was torn out. The photos note that “there are clean cuts” on the metal barswho facilitated their escape.

The photos also show messages on the wall that apparently lagged behind by the prisoners.

The Sheriff office said the prisoners broke the wall behind a toilet and slid through an opening into the wall.

The photos show messages that are scribbled in pen, including “to Easy Lol” with an arrow that points to the hole. It also shows a smiley face with his tongue out and another message, partly spotty, that officers seems to tell the prisoners when they can.

The police chief of New Orleans, Anne Kirkpatrick, said that the escape of the prisoner was an “urgent and serious situation” and encouraged the public to report suspicious activities.

Victims of some of the escaped have been informed, she said, adding that several are confronted with murder and other violent charges.

The prisoners probably had help, said Supt Kirkpatrick, and it is unlikely that they still wear prison uniforms, warning that everyone who helped the prisoners would be charged.

The FBI and the American Marshals also became a member of the local police during the search, she added.

The Prison of Orleans is located near the center of the city, about 3 km (2 miles) of the famous French district of the city.
