Georgia O’Connor – An undefeated British boxer- died at the age of 25 … months after revealing her diagnosis of cancer and only three weeks after getting married.
O’Connor’s promoter – Boxxer – announced her death in a statement on Thursday … called her a “True Warrior Inside and outside the Ring.”

On 9 May she told the world that she was married to ‘the love of my life’.
Although no official cause of death was announced, O’Connor unveiled In January she was diagnosed with cancer after her doctors had ignored her complaints of constant pain for months.
“She’s gas lit me, told me it was nothing, gave me the feeling that I reacted exaggerated,” she wrote. “They refused to scan me. They refused to investigate. They refused to listen.”
“They could have done something before it came to this stage. But they didn’t do that. Because this is the condition of the NHS – a broken system that does not fail to fail.”
In February 2024 she revealed to the world that she had ulcerative colitis, a car -immune disease causing inflammation and ulcers on the inner lining of the colon.
Tragically enough, she also had a miscarriage earlier this year.
Despite the fighting she encountered outside the ring, she was able to earn a 3-0 record as a professional. She won the gold medal during the Commonwealth Youth Games 2017 … while taking second place during the Youth World Championship and third place during the 2018 Youth Event.
