The leak took place after a vehicle with containers of a blue dye solution clashed with a pole, so that the product spilled in a mangat to the Jorniai River.
City officials say they are acting to save and save the lives of the affected animals.
The dye is an organic chemical based on acetic acid – used in styrofoam boxes and egg boxes.
