The last day of the regular season is exactly two weeks away, but the race for the final place at the Eastern Wild-Card conference remains open for five candidates.
Two of these teams are in action on Thursday evening. The Montreal Canadiens host Boston Bruins (19:00 ESPN +) a Columbus Blue Jackets Welcome Colorado Avalanche (19:30 ESPN +).
As the game starts on Thursday, Canadiens holds a second wild card with 79 points and 25 regulatory victories of 74 games; New York Rangers are tied in ladders (and forward in RW, with 32), but they played more games. Blue jackets are two in points and one in regulatory victories. Inactivity Detroit Red Wings (75 points, 26 rw) and New York Islanders (74 points, 25 rw) culminating quintet.
