Mikaela Mayer continues his climb in the ESPN ranking for the pound for the pound and Lauren Price made his debut in the TOP 10 after the impressive victories.
Mayer (21-2, 5 Kos) Sandy Ryan beat on Saturday to keep the title WBO Welterweight, their match September match that Mayer decided on the majority decision. This time Mayer dominated most of the rounds and won Scorecards 98-92, 97-93 and 97-93.
“I wanted to give Sandy a match because (for the first time) it was a great fight. It guaranteed the match,” Mayer said after victory. “At that time, I think it should happen when fans want it when it is guaranteed. So we did it, but I beat Sandy twice.
Price (9-0, 2 Kos), WBC, IBF and WBA Welterweight Champion, Unified All Three Belts from Demolition of former champion Natasha Jonas March 7. Jonas beat Mayer By distributing the decision in January 2024.
The price unanimous decision of victory over Jonas was undisputed and won each round in one of the judges (100-90, 98-92 and 98-93). The struggle between Mayer and Priceem would crowned the first undeniable Welterweight champion from Jessica McCaskill in 2022.
With the victory, Mayer moves to one place on No. 6, while Price enters the ranking to 7th place. Savannah Marshall was removed because of inactivity.
