Max Verstappen admitted that his pole bike for the Japanese Japanese Grand Prix was “very special” after McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri fired to the highest place.
It was 41. The position of Verstappen in F1 and the director of the Red Bull team Christian Horner described it as “one of his best ever”.
Verstappen, which is eight points behind Norris in the driver championship, will look like he turns his pole to the first victory of 2025, when the lights on Sunday at 6 am in Suzuka, Sky Sports F1.
“I had some really nice in other places,” the ruling world champion said.
“But I think if you look at how our season has started, even this weekend it is very unexpected, I would say. And I think it probably does very strange.”
