Joe Joyce suffered a defeat by the unanimous decision of Filip Hrgovic in his return to the ring in Manchester on Saturday.
The 39-year-old fought for the first time since the defeat of Derek Chisora in July 2024, lost a tight struggle where Hrgovic grew in dominance, and earned a score of 97-93, 96-95, 98-92 in his favor.
Joyce was originally supposed to fight Dillian Whyte in the All-Britian affair, but he saw Hrgovic in a late warning.
32 -year -old Croatian or fought from defeat Daniel Dubois in June, the first professional loss of his career after 18 matches until then. His record now reads 18-1 after his defeat Joyce.
