Wrexham seems to be closed to the third direct promotion and a place at the second level championship.

Wrexham, owned by Hollywood celebrities Ryan Reynolds and Rob Melhenney, defeated Burton Albion 3-0 on Saturday thanks to three goals in the 16-minute charm in the second half.

Equally important for the second place Wrexham was a loss of 1-0 for the third place of Wycomb Wanderers while reading in a match that took place at the same time.

Wrexham left six points from Wycombe, who has a game in his hand. Only two teams are automatically promoted and one of them looks like Birmingham, a leader by eight points over Wrexham.

There are five games left to complete your latest promotional campaign. Only two years ago, the team played in the fifth level of the National League, but thanks to the injection of cash from the famous owners of Reynolds and Melhenney, it grew through the English football pyramid.

Paul Mullin, a star player in recent promotional campaigns, was again omitted from Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson.
