Max Verstappen bounced offo Norris and Oscar Piastri to claim their first Formula 1 2025 season in a tense goal for the Japanese Grand Prix.
Pole-land Verstappen defeated Norrisa by only 1.4 seconds for his fourth direct victory Suzuka, while Piastri in third place behind his team McLaren.
The key moment of the race came on the 22nd round when Verstappen and Norris stood together and the couple stepped out of the drink almost side by side, with Norris on the grass.
Norris claimed to have been “forced”, but the administrators quickly decided not to examine the incident after noting it, and suggests that the McLaren driver should retreat when Verstappen had his car in advance.
Hence Verstappen, he managed his tires perfectly despite a few efforts by Norris and Piastriho, when they were pushing hard, but never got into the rows of the ruling world champion.
The best three in Suzuce now have a victory race every 2025, but Norris leads the drivers’ championship by a lonely point by Verstappen and Piastri is 13 points back before the next weekend Bahrain Grand Prix.

The highest six ended when they started with Charles Lecler in the lonely fourth, George Russell in the fifth and Kimi Antonelli, who led the first round of the F1 race in sixth place.
Lewis Hamilton overtook Isack Hadjar Racing Bull early to take the seventh place from the newcomer driver, with Williams Alex Albon in the ninth and Haas’ Oliver Bearman in 10th place.
