Warrington founded the semi-final clash of the betfred Challenge Cup with Leigh after an exciting victory of 20-12 over the local rivals of St. Helens at the Halliwell Jones stadium.
In the pulsating quarterfinal competition, the wolves held a slim two -point lead 10 minutes from time to time when Captain George Williams went 75 meters along the pitch to attempt to win in the match that Marc Sneyd converted to open an octagonal advantage.
Matt Dufty and Ben Currie also crossed the home side and Sneyd landed four goals.
The victory was made by six consecutive victories against the saints for the Sam Burgess side and left them just 80 minutes after returning to Wembley because they seem to drive Wigan after the last season after the last season.
The saints played their full role in a fun competition and responded to Tristan Sailor and Daryl Clark, both transformed by Jon Bennison.
As expected, it was a wild tie, with visitors dominating the field position and pressure exerting, but could not register any early points, while the Prop Paul Vaughan wolves were forced from the field with a dislocated finger.
It was the home party that opened scoring after 16 minutes when the excellent internal passage from Williams sent a support duft to the right of the opening posts that was converted to Sneyd.
The curious defense from both sides continued to be the order of the day when the saints forward Sionen and Jake Wingfield were forced from the event for Hias.
Jonny Lomax almost pulled out the Saints level as he watched his own kick, but simply could not ground the ball before he froze.
But three minutes before the half-life another Lomax kick this time did a trick when Sailor followed to touch down and Bennison converted to send the parties to 6-6 levels.
Warrington regained the lead eight minutes after restarting when Sneyd finished the sentence after Saints were convicted. It came after an exciting 70 meter, which was operated by Ashton, which was denied by an attempt to save Jack Welsby.
The saints almost brought an immediate reaction, but Joe Bangchelor lost her possession as he looked at the ball of the ball and when the game was collected and flowed from end to end, Ashton had the effort to avoid the effort forward.
Sneyd kick was perfectly reflected in Currie in 55 minutes to score, which was converted to reach the lead to 14-6, but the saints immediately hit when Clark scored and Bennison converted to lower the lead to two points.
In the brass finals it was Williams’ excellent long efforts that saw the wolves were progressing to the last four.
