Harry Brook was declared as the New England T20 and a one -day international captain taken over by Jos Buttler.
Buttler resigned as a white ball captain after the unsatisfactory Champions Trophy tournament, who saw England set off in a group scene after he lost all three of his matches.
Brook, 26 years old, will take over the reins and his first games come in charge at the end of May with a home series against West Indies, representing three ODI Bank metro and three Vitality T20s – Live On Sky Sports Cricket.
Brook said, “It is a real honor to be named English Captain of the White Ball. Since I was a child playing a cricket in Burley in Wharfedale, I have dreamed of representing Yorkshire, playing for England and perhaps one day.
“I want to thank my family and coaches who supported me at every step.
“There are so many talents in this country and I look forward to moving forward and working on victory, the World Championship and the important events.
“I’m excited to go and give him everything I have.”
