Jockey Micheal Nolan was handed over a 10 -day suspension for his ride on board Celebre D’All on Saturday Grand National.
A thirteen -year -old horse, trained by Philip Hobbs and Johnson White, stayed in Aintree overnight on Saturday after he packed up during the last phases of the race.
The administrators suspended Nolana for 10 days (19-26 April and 3 and 5 May) after he learned of his decision to continue driving Celebre d’All after jumping the penultimate fence.
Their report was: “The investigation was organized to consider whether Micheal Nolan, the Celebre D’Alen rider, continued the race when it seemed that the horse had nothing to give, and clearly lost the land on the second area.
“The rider and the veterinary officer were interviewed and the interview recordings were monitored. The rider was suspended for 10 days.”
Broadway Boy is also at home after falling on the second Valentine’s Day in Grand National.
Like Celebre D’All, he eventually entered the horse and stayed on the track on Saturday evening for further observations.
Coach Willy Twisten-Davies said, “His well-being in the next few weeks is the most important thing, and the Aintree veterinarians have done a huge work and Laura Scrivener, who took care of him all night, was fantastic with him.”
Tom Bellamy, who went to Broadway’s boy, broke his wrist in landing, but Twisten-Davies was marked as “happy and clear”.
