The American College Basketball Star Paige “Buckets” Buckers has improved the comparison with Caitlin Clark by gaining 40 points of career.

Bueckers excelled in to land 29 of these 40 points in the second half, when her party UConn defeated Oklahoma 82-59 in the Shokane 4 Sweet 16 and joined the Eight March Madness.

40 points 6ft Tall Point Guard also set the UConn record for the most in the NCAA tournament game. The victory was prepared for a meeting without 1 South California in its third straight elite look.

“Buckets” is preferred to follow Caitlin Clark as a selection No. 1 in the WNBA concept as soon as the competition is completed.

In Bueckers’s stellar second half shot 12 out of 16 of the floor, including 5 out of 6 out of 3-point distance. Bueckers completed 6-Z-8 from a long range for the game and 16 out of 27 of the field overall.

All-American also grabbed six rebounds, ran three theft and blocked a few shots. Bueckers’ new career comes one game after coinciding with the previous personal best of 34 points in the second round of Uconn over the state of South Dakota.

Ashlynn Shade had 12 points for UConn, Azzi Fudd added 10 points and Sarah Strong scored 11 points and 11 rebounds, although he shot only 4 out of 13 of the floor.

Payton Verhulst led Oklahoma with 16 points, while Raegan Beers scored 10 points and 10 boards.

Bueckers said, “Frankly, we just want to keep our season as long as possible. We all like to play together. We love playing here. We just love this program and everything that means. So we want it to continue as long as possible.

“We knew we were getting good shots in the first half. Things didn’t fall, so we just wanted to stay consistent in the appearance we got and how we got them. We just try to stay aggressive, read what the game is calling, and we just try to do what we need to win.”

She added: “Everyone at this point of the season is trying to win, win the national title and keep the season as long as possible, each has the same goal.

“Whether your season is over or ends your career, you want to stay in one game at once, one training at once, one holding at once, and just focus on it and maximize it, and that will catch too much in the future.

“But you try to stay in the present.”
