In the last two seasons, body cameras have been tested by local corners in England as a tool to reduce abuse focused on referees.
IFAB also allowed their use in limited higher competitions for training and education purposes. At a higher level, the headset of the referee with a camera attached to the ear is part of the headset.

After the local level tests had a positive impact on players’ behavior, IFAB should continue testing and support the use of body cameras.
This week, the UEFA World Championship referee participated in a seminar in Zurich, after earlier events in Dubai and Buenos Aires prepared for the tournament.
“(It’s) for the first time ever to have the best clubs … every corner of the world competes,” Collina added. “So it is, I would say, a special responsibility for us, for the referees, because we want to have our judges prepared for the best conditions where the competition will be launched.
“We are aware that a high standard of referee is the key to successful competition.
“We follow (a) watching their fitness, their health. In principle, we try to provide them with all the support they may need. Our goal is our goal to have FIFA” Team One “for the best of their conditions when the ball starts to roll in Miami.”
