Birmingham City They ensured promotion from League One to 2-1 victory in Peterborough United on Tuesday ensured that they would return to the championship for the first time.

The Midlands Club, which counts the legendary Quarterback NFL Tom Brady as the minority owner, returned to the second level of English football this season because their closest rivals could not keep their pace.

Brady bought a stake in Birmingham in August 2023 in his first invasion in the world of football and, as chairman of the new Club Advisory Board, said he wanted to bring the winning mentality to the club, which last played in the Premier League in 2011.
At the end of the 2023-24 season, however, Birmingham was ranked from the championship, during which Wayne Rooney had an unpleasant three-month spell as a manager before he was released.
Birmingham spent a big effort to immediately return to the second level and signed 17 players in the summer summer transfer window.
Since January, they are at the top of the table and are 14 points above the second Wrexham, who close their own promotion.
This season, Birmingham lost only three games in the league and it is about breaking the record for most of the games and most points earned by the club in one campaign in the third level.
