Yankees’ Cody Bellinger swears from chicken wing after food poisoning

New York Yankees Outfielder CODY BELLINGER After his recent match with food poisoning he swore chicken wings for five years.

Bellinger announced his decision on Wednesday, two days after he consumed some chicken wings in a room at the Yankees’ Team Hotel in Detroit while watching the NCAA Tournament National Championship.

Bellinger said it was a traditional, bone wing-no sauce, spices or friction.

“They were good,” Bellinger said on Wednesday. “But I woke up at 4 am sweating and I just started throwing for a few hours. It was a hard morning.”

So much that Bellinger sat down on Tuesday’s New York games against the tigers with food poisoning.

“I can say that I will not eat wings for five years,” Bellinger said. “I swear. Because the thought of it right now will I get sick.”

Belinger, 29, was healthy enough to return to the finals on the final of the afternoon series versus Tigers.

“I feel good today,” he said. “I slept ton last night. My time before was 24 hours, so I’m just moisturizing and preparing for playing.”
