Angie Reinhardt described her son as someone who “likes to do everything fast”, whether skiing or trumpet. He played football and struggled in high school.

She said the family called from the donor net and said that the athlete who received a part of Alex’s tissue was interested in meeting her family. A few weeks later they found that the recipient was the ball. The meeting met soon afterwards.

He subjected the ball transplantation of meniscus and cartilage in his left knee in March 2023 after several procedures failed to repair the injuries he suffered during the 2021-22 season first in Chicago. He played in 35 games before Wednesday after missing the period 2022-23 and 2023-24.

“In order to help people after his death, they really feel like a blessing for all of us,” Angie said.
