Great Britain’s captain Anne Keothavong admits that it is disappointed by the absence of Billie Jean King Cup Emmy Raducan, but it can understand why the British 2 have withdrawn.
The Keotavong Party will face Germany on Friday before accepting the Netherlands on Saturday when they are applying for a place in the final, but they will be without Raducan, which last year led Britain at the semifinals in Malaga.
The main justification of the cited raducanu team for its resignation decision was that they had to prefer their body.
“Naturally disappointed,” said Keotavong Watchman.
“But I understand where it comes from. Last year it gave a lot of this team and was a huge part of the reason why we achieved the success we did. I have five players who are highly motivated who are excited to be here and are well prepared.
Despite the withdrawal of Raducan, Keothavong is convinced that Britain can proceed, while Jodie Burrage is now replacing Raducan. British No 1 Katie Boulter, World No. 61 Sonay Kartal, Harriet Dart and Olivia Nicholls form a strong group.
“Women’s tennis in Britain has passed a long way,” Keotavong said. “The other party provides a lot of sleepless nights and headaches for me in an effort to make a decision, but you should have it so and you should choose and rely.”
He will soon face the hard side because the evenly corresponding Rainer Schuttler team plays on Friday.
Raducan has not made any significant progress since its US Open victory in the US Open, but the 22-year-old enjoyed a great run on the Miami Open quarterfinals when she recorded her best result in the WTA 1000 event.
In her last eight collision, Raducan went on her feet at the tip with a eventual runner Jessica Pegula before she eventually lost in three sets.
Raducan currently takes advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the training block, instead of its absence in the Hague.
