The Rangers Defender Dujon Sterling will undergo surgery for Achill’s injury that will eliminate him “for a long time”.
The 25 -year -old man was stretched on Thursday in his European League draw with the Athletic Club in Ibrox, forcing them to see the game with nine players after the Robina Proppera red red card.
Chief coach Barry Ferguson says he is “destroyed” in the news, while Sterling returned to the action last month after his leg injury, which forced him to miss 12 matches.
“It will be long -term, it’s serious,” Ferguson said Sky Sports News.
“He came in and I think he was a huge back for me. He had problems with injury and now he will have to suffer another long time on the siding
“But listen, that’s football, we have to move on. We’ll get about Dujon because he is a popular member of the dressing room.
“He was a big player for me, and we just have to make sure we’ll get him back as quickly as possible.
“I don’t know exactly (how long it will be out), but I mean long -term. I’m not a medical expert, but I spoke to a doctor, on Monday going to surgery and we’ll just have to wait and see how this operation goes.”
