Lando Norris’s World Championship leader set an early pace for McLaren in the practice of seized training at one meeting at the Bahrain Grand Prix because Ferrari debuted a car upgrade, hoping to return them to the leading dispute.
In the opening hour of running, which recorded six full -time stars – including Max Verstappen Red Bull – sitting on the session so that their teams could provide mandatory time on inexperienced drivers, the field had to face their cars in the hottest conditions this season.
The first practice in Bahrain is always relatively unrepresentative given that it takes place in daylight conditions, while practicing two, qualifications and the Grand Prix itself are progressing behind the headlights as soon as the sun drops.
But while the final timetable P1 had a different look on normal, Norris still set the pace for McLarena as soon as the field switched to tires with soft compensation with the best wedge 1: 33,204.
Pierre Gasly, whose alpine team is the only one who has earned a point this season, was the second and two tenths of a second from Norris.
Lewis Hamilton was the third, albeit half a second, in the Ferrari car, which represented six different upgrades when Scuderia chased a step forward in performance.
Four of these new parts were focused on the floor of the SF-25, with Ferrari clearly persecuted a major pressure to close the gap forward. The car also ran with the rear wing and diffuser changes.
“This is an important upgrade and one Ferrari Hope transforms their season and brings them back to the winning ways,” he said Sky Sports F1‘With now Kravitz.
In the middle of an early fight for grip on the “green” track, Hamilton was heard over the team of Ferrari Radio, who harassed the lack of balance of the car.
Alex Albon was the fourth for Williams, although he is facing an investigation after a session after almost a lady with a sister car of the team driven by the British 23 -year -old Luke Browning, who was behind Carlos Sainz.
Esteban Ocon was fifth for Haas with Nico Hulkenberg sixth for Sauber.
Yuki Tsunoda was ninth for Red Bull with Oscar Piastri 10. In the second McLaren.
Session Kimi Antonelli lasted only three wheels for him to bring him back in his Mercedes back to the garage, where he stayed for the rest of the hour.
