“At the beginning of the season we set a goal to arrive in the final stages that fight for something important,” says head coach Marco Silva Sky Sports.

“I remember the first season in the Premier League, against the teams that were below us, mostly we managed to earn points. We could not be against the teams that were above us,” Silva says. “It was something I questioned almost every week.
“It was something we have changed completely in terms of our thinking. Mild things in the approach but much more thinking. Our bravery and our ambitions for these games and not to change anything.

Between 2018 and 2022 Fulham was either promoted or ranked every season, but since returning to the Premier League under Silvou ended 10 and 13.
They did it after they lost their two best players in the last two years, Aleksandar Mitrovic striker and midfielder Joao Palhinha. “Other teams, when they sell their main attackers, go and spend everything in their position. We can’t do it. We’re dealing with it in a different way.”

“It’s not for me I have talked about. I really focus on my work, what I can control,” he says.
“What I can control is the way my team will play. It’s the philosophy I want in the team. The identity I always try for my players to make them better players individually and together. To improve the club every week, every month, each season.
“We did fantastic things on the pitch.”
Fulham has crossed the expectations under Silva and now has a chance to consolidate its inheritance.
