Ronnie O’Sullivan considers how his career might end up
Ronnie O’Sullivan says he’s not ready to leave a snooker, but doubts that he can rediscover a sufficient form to “go with a smile on his face”.
The seven -time world champion, 49 years, did not play since January at the Snooker Tour World Championship and still have to decide whether to compete at this year’s World Championship, which begins 19 April.
O’Sullivan, currently world issue five, fell out of love with sport and after fought for form, he left five of the last six WST tournaments for medical reasons.
Said Daily mail“I’m not going to end yet, but I’ll have two years to try.
“I don’t want to complete my career that I really didn’t lead to the level I know I can.
“I don’t have to win tournaments, but I just want to feel like I’m enjoying the game. I’d like to go with a smile on my face.”

He continued: “I have to try to fix myself and try to find out how I played a snooker. It’s a massive process of reconstruction and probably the last one I have to do as a snooker player.
“I think I can do that? Probably not if I’m honest.
“I think it’s probably too late in my career and I probably get damaged goods in the form of a snooker player. You’ll take a lot of battle scars over the years. But I’m not ready to stop at the moment because I feel like I stop a little low.
O’Sullivan, widely considered the biggest snooker player, last won the World Championship in 2022, when he became the oldest winner of the global crown.
He won a record 23 Triple Crown titles, including eight Masters and eight British Championship titles.
