Justin Rose insisted that “no regret” after suffering the second defeat of the Masters Play-Off apparatus, but admitted his loss to Rory Mcilroy “Hurts”.
Eight years after he lost to Sergio Garcia in the playoffs of Augusta National, Rose Mcilroy was eliminated when the couple played 18-Poté, who previously played four-pressure deficit with six holes to play.
“It hurts,” said Rose, whose 10 birdie of the day when he played 18. In regulation, he finished the excellent, six Under shut -off wheel 66.
“But what do you do about it?
“What do you decide to dwell, you know what I mean? There’s no point in being too desperate and looking at all the good things that got me into this situation.
“You can’t skip a career without a little sorrow.
“You have to risk how to feel to get to the opposite.
“For me it’s just about fulfilling my childhood dreams, really, giving everything I have and no regret.
“I think that’s what all is all about for me, just trying to look under every stone, pushing as hard as I can be the best I can be, and I think it’s what is professional.”
Rose ‘willing to give a job’ in an effort about a dream
Rose, the winner of the US Open 2013, also ended last year at the Xander Schauffele runner at the Open at Royal Troon and remains determined to compete at the highest level at the age of 44.
“It’s not easier,” Rose added. “I think when you go through your career, you think,” Oh, hopefully you will experience kicks and some things are easier. “
“Oh no, I feel like I have to be more disciplined and make more victims than I ever had. I would say what I am trying to do. I’m willing to put this job.
“The reason I am willing to put this work is for these occasions, these moments. Permanent ovation 18, when I ended, I took a moment, I did not know the result, but just soaked it.
“That was obviously a nice moment, because it was still the case of what could be, what could be, you live a dream.
“Like one day I will not compete in this tournament. So for now hard work is worth getting these little moments, they are very special.”
One minor consolation for Rose is that his performance in Augusta raised him to the automatic qualification points for this year’s Ryder Cup in Bethpage, where Europe will focus on maintaining the trophy Rose and McILroy in Rome in 2023.
