Newcastle United Manager Eddie Howe thanked the fans for their “warm wishes” after the club announced on Monday that he was suffering from pneumonia.
Howe, who was taken to the hospital Last week missed Newcastle 4-1 victory over Manchester United in Premier League Sunday.
“Newcastle United may announce that Eddie Howe is recovering in the hospital after being diagnosed with pneumonia” Said Club in his statement.
“The club continues to expand its best wishes and support for Eddie and his family as he continues his recovery.
Howe will continue to be missing in the Newcastle Touchline, added the club, with Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones are in charge of their upcoming games against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.
“A huge thank you to all associated with the Newcastle United and the wider football community for your news and warm wishes. They meant a lot to me and my family,” Howe said.
“I also want to pay tribute to our incredible NHS and hospital staff who treated me. I am extremely grateful for the specialized care I receive, and after a period of recovery I look forward to as soon as possible.”
