Striker Rangers Kirsty Howat won the SWPL Player of the Month for March.

The 27 -year -old man will raise his price for the first time this season after scoring four goals in the undefeated month on the side of Jo Potter.

Rangers scored seven points out of a possible nine and remains in the title competition and sat one point behind the common leader Glasgow City and Hibernian.

The Scottish International, which also scored when the Rangers preserved Sky Sports Cup with a 5-0 victory against Hibs, defeated Aberdeen’s Jessica Broadrick, Hannah Jordan of Spartans and midfielder Hibs Linzi Taylor to the price.

Sophie Townsley won the SWPL 2 for the second time when Hamilton Accies expanded its lead at the top of the table.

The wing, which is lent from Rangers, scored seven goals in March, including four in their victory against Ayr United.

Townsley won the prize before Olivia Hurrell St Johnstone and Jade Wilson of Gartcairn.
