The mixed team golf event will make their debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics with parties representing one woman and one male player.
The mixed competition – which will be held among individual men and women tournaments – will be divided by a 36 -hole event in two 18 -am -round wheels.
There is a maximum of one team on the ground.
In 2016, individual tournaments of men and women returned to the Olympic schedule with Justin Rose, Scottie Scheffler, Nelly Kord and Lydia Ko, which have since won gold.

The director of the Antony Scanlon International Golf Federation said: “Golf was incredibly successful in Paris 2024, and when we continue building the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 dynamics, we are excited to attract more attention in this additional format.
“Athletes were very enthusiastic about their desire to play with their compatriots and look forward to seeing them together in Los Angeles.”
Golf was part of the 1900 Paris Games and then the Olympic Games in 1904 in St Louis before throwing away the program.
