Former Manchester United Football director John Murtough joined Atalanta As a director of global development, Series and The club confirmed on Tuesday.
Murtough spent more than 10 years in old Trafficford leaving club In April 2024, soon after Sir Ratcliffe took control of football operations in the club.
“The 54 -year -old English manager, who will report directly to the sports director of Tony D’Amico, will play a key role in strengthening the international strategy and vision of the club,” Atalanta said in declaration.
“The Percassi and Pagluca families, along with the whole club, extend the warm welcome to Mr. Murtough and wish him every success in his new role in the Atalant BC Sports Department.”
The role is Murtough’s first outside England, while the 54-year-old also has spells on Everton, FulhamCoventry City and Association of English Football.
