McIlroy defeated Justin Rose on Sunday in Play -off at Augusta National to become the sixth man -and the first European -to win each of the four golf large companies.
As last year’s master Masters, Scheffler introduced his green jacket to McIlroy and says he felt the world’s “relief” No. 2.

McIlroy completed the Grand Slam in 11 attempts and 11 years after its previous main title – the PGA 2014 Championship in Valhalle.
World No. 1 Scheffler said, “It was great to see him doing work, really cool to be there at the moment and congratulate him and just saw him joy and his family.
The Olympics remain only to conquer McILroy?
“In Golf, he achieved everything and that was really the last thing that could be achieved.
“The guy won FedExcup, players, all four big companies. Maybe the only other thing would be the Olympics he would like to win.
“It was such an emotional day for him. I just tried to stay out of the way and get on the jacket without disgusting. I have to watch the whole celebration.”

Scheffler has won two main titles – both at the Masters after the triumphs in 2022 and 2024 – while in second place at the US Open and PGA championships finished second.
“I do not understand what it is like to ask for a Grand Slam career, but I just understand what it is like to ask,” Hey, you have achieved it, but you didn’t achieve it, “Scheffler said.
“It can sometimes be very taxed on people. Definitely from the outside it looked much more like a relief than anything (for Rory).”

Asked if he was inspired by McIlroy’s success, Scheffler said he had concentrated on “to get the most out of himself”.

He added, “The feeling you get from the tournament victory is quite strange. For me I wish it took longer than that. In fact, it doesn’t last long.
“Was it quite amazing to see how Rory wins the Grand Slam? Of course it was. But as far as my life is concerned, I try to stay in the present. I don’t very often think about career goals.
“He won the Grand Slam career, I think it’s something that every golfer would dream of, but at the end of the day I try to make the most of myself. That’s about it.”
