The Darts World Championship will expand to 128 players with a huge £ 1 million for the winner when Luke Little is trying to defend his Sid Waddell trophy.
In the dominant announcement of sport, PDC prices will strengthen at all levels on a professional circuit in 2026, thus introducing a historical increase of 7 million GBP since 2025.
The Darts World Championship will increase from the 2025/26 event than ever before, and the extended field of competition for a winning fund of £ 5 million.

The Premier League Prize will increase from 2026 to 1.25 million GBP, with CZK 350,000 for the champion next season.
The World Matchplay and Grand Slam of Darts offer will be offered a £ 1 million winning fund, and next year it is also expanding to 48 players to mark the 20th presentation of a unique tournament.
Four other Premier Actions – World Grand Prix, Final for Player Championship, European Championship and UK Open – will increase to the 750,000 GBP Fund next year, and the World Championships will add another 50,000 GBP to their appropriate price funds.
The European Tour Action Funds will increase to 230,000 GBP for 14 tournaments that will be held next year, while 34 championship players will increase to 150,000 GBP.

The PDC commitment beyond the prowour also records an increase in 5,000 GBP for an event for the Challenge, development and events of the women’s series, while the World Women’s World Fund is increased to the 40,000 GBP winning fund and a 50 % increase in financing for global affiliate tours and compared to development.
PDC CEO Matt Porter noted: “The price of £ 1 million for the world champion reflects Darts as one of the most interesting and interesting sports in the world and the historical sum will correctly attract the headlines as the largest prize ever paid in sports.
“However, the increased price funds that have been announced today show our commitment to the growing potential of earnings for players at all levels in the PDC system.

“In recent years, the incredible growth of PDC has seen the arrows promoted to levels they have never seen both in terms of gaming opportunities and global interest, and this is a huge moment with ambition to get to the very peak of sport.”
