Shamarin Was Among Several Ministry Figures Who Were Detained Last Year, What Also Included Deputy Timur Ivanov and Lt Gen Yuri Kuznessov, Head of Defense’s Personnel Directorate.
It came after the Russian President Vladimir Putin Disseded His Long-Term Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in May 2024.
