Carlos Alcaraz is up to the semifinals of Barcelona Open after defeating Australian Alex de Minaur in direct sets of 7-5 6-3.
Double winner of the ATP Tour 500 event in 2022 and 2023 will be the Spaniard Alcaraz to face a 20 -year -old French Arthur’s son For the place in the final, after Greece Stefanos Titsipas was forced to leave his semifinals later on Friday 2-0 down in the first set.
Denmark is Holger Rune and Karen Khachanov Russia denies another semi -final before the finals on Sunday at Pista Rafa Nadal, lives on Sky Sports Tennis.
Rune defeated the Norwegian Casper ruud 6-4 6-4 to create the last four, while Khachanov defeated the Spanish alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-4 7-5.
“I started with the portion quite badly, I was a little mentally fought,” said Alcaraz, who earned 57 percent of the first service points in the opening set.
“It was just a few first games with my portion, then I think I got a lot of improvement. I calmed down and began to think positively again.
“Alex began strong, playing aggressively, and the first set was really tight.”
Alcaraz last Sunday raised his second ATP Tour title in Monte-Carl.
