Kraigg Brathwaite resigned after three years as the captain of the West Indies test.
32 -year -old led West Indies in 39 tests and led them to the first test victory in Australia for 27 years of last year with a dramatic victory in Brisbane.
Its replacement must still be named for the upcoming Australian three -way tour of the Caribbean, which takes place in June and July.
Brathwaite became the captain of the test in March 2021, took over from Jason Holder and also led West India to win home testing against England in 2022.
Wicketkeeper Batter Shai Hope will replace Rovman Powell as the captain T20 next to his role of one -day international captain.
