Bruno Fernandes will leave Manchester United this summer, says head coach Ruben Amorim – because it can help the club again win the Premier League.
Captain United was a decisive factor for the mini-revival of the club with seven goals and three assists in the last seven matches. This form led to speculation that he could move to Real Madrid this summer.
“This will not happen,” Amorim said about these specific legends Premier League United trip to Nottingham Forest Tuesday.
The head coach United was then asked why he was so convinced that the thirty -year -old wanted to spend these essential, the last years of his career in Old Trafford, when the club is far from the top.
“That’s a challenge. I want Bruno,” Amorim replied.
“We want to win the Premier League again, we want the best players with us. He’s still so young because 55 games play every season.
“There is at least 30 years between assists and goals. He’s a player we want here, doesn’t go anywhere.
“We have control over the situation. I feel like he’s really happy here. He understands what we want to do.
“He is once again a supporter of Manchester United, he really feels.
“That’s the kind of player we want. I can’t go anywhere – because I told him.”
AMORIM COY on Rashford, Antony Futures in the middle of star loans
AMORIM was also asked for long -term futures Marcus Rashford and Antonywho are currently impressing a loan.
Rashford’s form for Aston Villa saw him returning to England under Thomas Tuchel. His first game after the international break could see him breaking the duck for Unai Emery’s party – when his double above Preston sent Villa to the FA Cup semifinals.
Meanwhile, Antony has four goals and four assists for the Spanish side of Real Betis, while teammate Isco jokes a club who must crowdfund to get enough money to extend this loan agreement.
“Rashford really well. Everyone knows the talent he has,” Amorim said.
“I’ve already talked about it: he’s the best player if he wants. So I’m not surprised (in Aston Villa he’s doing well).
“It’s the same with Antony. It’s good to see how our players are doing well on a loan in a different context. It can happen, it’s a good sign for the club.”
AMORIM has moved further to whether the door is open to return the couple, Coy remained: “Guys let’s focus on the game. We are satisfied with the players who are on the loan. I’m planning the future but I don’t want to talk about the future.”
Asked if Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton – who are off the contract at the end of the season – could leave United this summer, AMORIM said, “We’ll see. We’re thinking about next season but we have a lot of things.
“We know that Europa League can change a lot of things in the club. We focus on the present, not just the future.”
AMORIM was also asked for a report on the state of injury for Amad Diallothat suffered ankle damage during the February training.
“I think he will play this season, but I don’t know when,” Amorim said. “We’re really sure.
