The Stars was the third team that got anchore -off Play -off this season, and the most likely result of Dallas is to earn seed no. 2 in the central division and undressing with Colorado Avalanche in the first round.
But the stars still have a chance to win the title of division-and the first round with one of the wild card teams.
Heading by Monday evening, the stars are six points behind Winnipeg Jets 106-100 and one point behind in regulatory victories (40-39). If Dallas catches Winnipeg, it should definitely win Monday’s game against Seattle Kraken (22:00, ESPN+). Kraken was removed on Saturday evening from the Play -off claim.
When we look for Monday, the stars play games against the current playoffs only twice and one of them is the “four-point game” against the Jets 10. April. For comparison, the current playoff teams face five times in their remaining schedule.
Chances are not great high that the stars can do it; The STATHLETES design model gives the Jets 82.8% chance to win a central title compared to 17.2% for stars. But by winning games that should win against teams who are not players, -a get help from Winnipeg’s opponents-these can definitely pull out.
