Manchester City PEP Guardiola manager confirmed this Erling Haaland can be on the siding for seven weeks with an ankle injury that has risen against Bournemouth in their Fa Cup quarterfinal.
24 -year -old Injured his left ankle in the city 2-1 Win on Sunday and leave the vitality stadium wearing a protective shoe. They will see a specialist this week.
Norwegian International scored an equalizer of the city before he left in 60 minutes. Its replacement, Omar Marmoushscored the goal of advancing to the semi -finals of the FA Cup where they will face Nottingham forest April 26.
The city hopes that Haaaland will be able to appear at the FIFA Club World Championship, which will start in June. But Guardiola said he would miss everyone except the last few weeks Premier League season.
“They told me a doctor between five and seven weeks. Hopefully at the end of the season and the World Championship in the club will be ready,” Guardiola said on Tuesday. “Sometimes there are years when these things happen. It happened throughout the season.
“I would say it might be different if it was the end of the season (before the World Cup of the Club). So with all the injuries we had this season, I’m so sorry and Erling.
Haaland, which scored 30 goals in 40 games this season, was expelled from the match of Versus Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday and on Sunday their way to Old Trafford for Manchester Derby.
The PEP Guardiola team has the remaining nine Premier League games because it fights for the first four place. The city sits in fifth place in the table, one point behind Chelsea and one before Newcastle United
The five -week absence would see how Haaaland returned to the road Southampton May 10.
If he was missing seven weeks, Haaland would have doubts about the FA Cup finals on May 17 (if the city of Advance) before it can return to the final league game of the season in Fulham May 25.
The city is ready to fly to its base camp in Florida before the club championship 12th June.
Their first game is against the Moroccan side of Wydad AC in Philadelphia 18 June.
The statement issued by the city of Haaland’s injury on Monday evening read: “Erling underwent initial tests in Manchester on Monday morning and will now look for a specialized consultation to confirm the full range of injuries.
“The evaluation is still in progress to find out full prognosis. Erling is expected to be in time to play another role in the remaining part of this season, including this year’s FIFA Club World Championship.”
