World Champion Luke Littler tolerated the day under par as he suffered another early east, while Josh Rock secured the title of 10 players on Tuesday.
Warrington’s ace could hit a height of 97.82 when 6-4 went to Scott Williams, which on average 86, in their quarterfinals in Leicester.
Meanwhile, Rock defeated Williams 7-5 in the semifinals before defeating Cameron Menzies 8-4 in the finals for his first PDC 2025 title and the fourth player championship.
“It was probably my scoring all day. I felt as if I had important cash registers at the right time. As far as three arrows at the cash register are concerned, I fortunately hit Ton-plus cash registers,” Rock said after victory.
“It’s absolutely fantastic. I increase them (PDC titles). It’s my fifth on the PDC tour, but I still want to prove it with the Major.
“There’s a lot to tick from the list. Being a seed means nothing, it’s anyone you play in front of you. The arrow game has gone through the roof. I’m not here for money, I’m here to get titles.”
Littler defeated Adam Lipscombe and Dimitri van den Bergh’s both score 6-3, and then passed against Jim Williams 6-4 and Justin Hood 6-2 before he appeared on average 86.
Williams arrived at the last four of the tournament for the first time since 2023, but bowed to the red Josh Rock, who diameted an incredible 110.34 and hit the brilliant 150 cash register at 6-1 demolition against Martin Schindler before he saw Williams 7-5.
Cameron Menzies in the quarterfinals pulled out Raymond van Barneveld 6-4 and hit 10 140s, then with Scot defeated Michael Smith 7-5 to achieve Tuesday’s finals.
Stephen Bunting showed the flashes of his best forms before the Premier League clash on Thursday evening with Nathan Aspinal in Berlin.
On average, the “bullet” was remarkable 111.72, who defeated Mike de Decker for the fifth consecutive match. He broke at six of the eight doubles and hit the brilliant 167 on his way to reach 6-3, but in the last eight he lost the disappointment of “Bull Boy” 6-1.
